Sextans A

A dwarf irregular galaxy in the constellation Sextans, located near the boundary of the Local Group. Sextans A has an unusually square or boxy shape for an irregular galaxy — a result of large expanding shells of gas blown by generations of supernova explosions from massive stars. Star formation continues here, fueled by its remaining gas reserves.
