Andromeda II

A dwarf spheroidal galaxy orbiting Andromeda. Andromeda II is composed almost entirely of old, metal-poor stars and has been stripped of any star-forming gas by the gravitational tides of its host. It drifts silently in the outer reaches of the Andromeda system.
