Cetus Dwarf

A remote dwarf spheroidal galaxy near the outer boundary of the Local Group, the Cetus Dwarf contains only old stellar populations and no detectable gas. Its isolation from both the Milky Way and Andromeda has allowed it to retain a relatively undisturbed structure, making it a useful comparison object for understanding galaxy formation in sparse environments.
