Velindra's surface is constant storm. Its inhabitants went undersea three thousand years ago for temporary shelter. They never came back up. Their underwater cities are architectural marvels, lit by cold fusion. The history of why they went down in the first place was lost in the Great Data Purge of the 9th century. It is a source of considerable cultural anxiety.
