Dharak is a world drowning in magic and starving for unity. Its leyline network — the densest of any known inhabited planet — has produced five dominant magical Orders who control territory, taxation, and military force as much as any secular government. The Dharak Compact that once bound them collapsed eighty years ago. Since then, the world has existed in a state of controlled warfare, each Order probing the others' borders while their peasant populations pay the price.
