Caldreth shows every sign of having been colonized and seeded by an advanced civilization roughly 800 million years ago. Its biosphere is too uniform, its leyline network too perfectly structured to be natural. Whatever civilization did this is long gone. The people now living on Caldreth are descended from a different, later wave of settlers who arrived to find an empty but well-prepared world — forests, soil, breathable atmosphere, and a magical system that seemed to welcome them.
